Meet our instructor, James Forseen. James has been playing the violin for 26 years and is a testament to the passion that early music education can spark. James first became acquainted with the violin in 5th grade when he was required to participate in a trimester-long beginner violin class in his elementary school. At the end of the course, while many students moved on to different things, James found that the course had sparked within him a special passion for the violin. Over the next 26 years, James found himself playing his violin in many different ensembles, including a high-school band when there was no orchestra available. While James always enjoys playing music, whether with an ensemble or simply around the family living room, he also delights in sharing his love for the violin with others through teaching.Â
James has been married to his wife, Dani, for 16 years and they have four wonderful and musical children. They have called Alamosa home for the past decade and are so blessed by all the wonderful friends that they have made in the San Luis Valley. James has a heart to teach music and to watch what it can do in the lives of those who choose to pursue it.
